I bought these with my last batch of Soy Curls. Honestly, I think these are just repurposed broken up crumbles that come off the Soy Curl batches. But, I have found they make a really good and inexpensive substitute for "ground meat." They rehydrate quickly and take up seasonings well.
I'm sure the uses are almost identical to TVP, but the idea is that this may be a superior product because it contains the whole soybean and not just isolated or concentrated protein from soybeans. Dirt cheap compared to name brand crumbles in the frozen food section.

It’s literally just the crumbs from soy curls that they’re reselling, I wouldn’t buy that. When I buy the 12lb box, I sort the pieces by size and have at least 1 big bag of soy “dust” leftover for ground meat. I think I still have some in the freezer right now.
I get enough tiny crumbs from a bag of regular soy curls
The other commenter said they sort 12lbs of it by size which sounds like a massive pain in the ass but all you need to is shake the normal size bag and the small stuff falls to the bottom
