Standard Beer + Food
A new and expansive location for Standard Beer + Food is coming to the North Hills Innovation District in Raleigh at: 540 St Albans Drive Raleigh, NC 27609.
While we were never able to connect with the owner (as listed on Standard Beer & Food, LLC) Andy Schnitzer, a recent post on their Instagram page makes the news pretty clear.
Additionally, North Hills Innovation District collaborated with them on the post, and when you check their website, you will see Standard Beer + Food listed with the address given above.
Based on the video linked above, the project looks massive. There appears to be a large, ground up facility nearing completion where Standard Beer + Food will carry forth their second location. If the first location is anything to judge the menu by, expect “oyster tacos and smash burgers, to pecan-smoked Joyce Farms™ wings and wine & butter-poached shrimp rolls,” and much more.
They also brew onsite and serve batched frozen cocktails. There’s a lot more to the concept, which is so large in scope it seems to border the “eatertainment” designation.
Veloce Italian Market
According to an Instagram post, Veloce Italian Market is making plans at: 443 Fayetteville Street Raleigh, North Carolina 27601, a freestanding “jewel box” property that formerly housed Happy + Hale, who departed in search of larger digs, Raleigh News & Observer reported.
Owner Anthony Rapillo shared in a collaborative Instagram post with Raleigh Magazine that he is drawing on experiences of visiting Italian markets in his youth and will serve “pizza, paninis, wings and provisions—think: pizza kits, housemade vodka sauce, dry pasta, fried chicken cutlets and more.”
We tried to make contact and ask a few questions, but for now will have to settle for the what they’ve shared on social media.
Trophy Brewing Five Points
A new location for the already well-established Raleigh brand Trophy Brewing is in the works. We’ve seen everything from Instagram posts, a Google My Business listing (with an opening date of November 21), and even ABC permit filings.
The opening date of the 21st is likely outdated judging by a post on Instagram from two days ago (as of 10/12/25), where the space seems empty.
They’re opening in the massive Electrical Supply Co. warehouse at 207 Bickett Blvd, Raleigh, NC 27608, which was constructed in 1959. It’s not an easy, linear process, I’m sure, so just keep an eye on their social media and show up when they announce their grand opening.
The posts on their page report that they’ll have a full kitchen and menu in addition to their libations.
