With fall finally being here and your boy being on his comfort food arc, I decided to make some lasagna soup. And y’all, this was straight fire. So, let me show you how to make it. I’m going to use half ground beef and half ground Italian sausage. Add your meat to a hot pot. We’re going to let this cook all the way through till it turns brown like me. In the same pot, we’re going to add some olive oil, followed by some diced onions and some roughly chopped garlic. We’re going to let that cook until it becomes fragrant. Reintroduce your beef. Season with onion powder, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, Italian seasoning, oregano, red chili flakes, and tomato paste. Once it looks like this, add your tomato sauce in with the meat mixture. Then we’re going to fill the pot with some beeftock. You can use any stock you want. I ain’t your daddy. But then we’re going to add in some heavy cream. Now we’re going to shut this with a lid and bring it up to a boil. For the cheese mixture, we’re going to take some ricotta, some mozzarella, some fresh parmesan. Add some Italian seasoning, some dried basil, and some red chili flakes. Give it a mix, and that’s it. Once our soup is boiling, we’re going to crack in some pasta. Bring this down to a low heat and let this cook for 17 to 18 minutes or until the pasta’s cooked all the way through. Add your ricotta on top with some parmesan, some basil be healthy, red chili flakes, y’all. That is it. Truly such an easy and delicious dinner to make. So, make sure y’all save this one for later. If you never had lasagna soup, then you are missing out.

    For the Meat:
    1/2 Lb Ground Hot Italian sausage
    1/2 Lb Ground Beef (93% Lean)

    Drizzle of Olive Oil
    1 Tbsp Onion Powder
    1 Tbsp Garlic powder
    Coarse Salt to taste
    Coarse Pepper to taste
    2 Tsp Italian seasoning
    1 Tsp Oregano
    1/1 Tsp Red chili flakes
    3 Tbsp Tomato Paste
    1 Whole Yellow Onion,Diced
    5 Cloves Garlic,Minced
    1 (28oz) Can Crushed Tomatoes (San Marzanos)
    Parmesan fresh (Optional)
    6 Cups Beef stock or chicken Stock
    2/3 Cup Heavy Cream
    10 Pasta lasagne Sheets
    Garnish –
    Fresh Basil

    12 oz (1.5 Cup) Ricotta cheese
    1 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
    1/3 Cup Freshly Grated Parmesan

    1/2 Tsp Red Chili Flakes

    Next time I will cook the noodles separately b/c they expanded more than I wanted after it was done cooking. Still good though!

  4. If you have any sauce leftover, you can mix in some cooked rice. It usually tastes delicious!!! Also add a poached or fried egg as well(RUNNY YOLK NEEDED), maybe smoked or basted salmon then boom another meal with just 3 more Ingredients!!!
