[Music] well so far it’s been a winwin win win all the way folks let me tell you Jerry Lynn from Clinton has a wonderful surprise for us it’s Moroccan chicken pie and I would guess that probably 99.99% of our audience has not only not had it probably never heard of it but the ingredients look wonderful it is wonderful where did you find the recipe well I used to help an elderly woman and her nextd door neighbor was a man from Morocco who went to Morocco and came back with a bride who didn’t speak English she wanted to learn English I wanted to learn to cook Moroccan food so we worked together and she taught me how to make this what a great meal Wonder that’s a wonderful experience so where do we begin yeah Where Do We Begin here okay the first thing you put in is less than a cup of water and it will seem crazy to do that because you’ll want to put more in cuz you’ll know it needs it can you get me the chicken out of the refrigerator you bet but please if don’t put more than that water in it onions lots and lots of onions and when Lynn asks for chicken she gets chicken cantro parsley yum oil just regular vegetable oil corn whatever you got butter butter did you all see that okay let me put this down here what happened to uh cinnamon oh [Applause] good Ginger salt and saffron or turmeric the recipe calls for saffron I use turmeric okay turmeric is Poor Man saffron yes so you just start to cook the onions and um until they just sort of get warm and then I put the ladies in now these ladies bathed good this morning for you for their debut beautiful they really are they are ready to go okay ladies we’re going to have to make room for you in here oh there they are perfect they will we got a bunch of bunch of chicken in there let me tell you put the lid on it cover the ladies and cook it after about an hour the ladies will be cooked and you can take them out and we’re going to do this on low Heats yeah yes we are okay um take them out bone them and skin them and chop them the chicken meat up and put it in the refrigerator MH and it is going to be so wonderful just that all by itself um that’s what I need um okay oh indeed you do look at that isn’t that beautiful look at this okay tell us about this okay this is loompia and this is the box that comes in it’s an Asian dish you can get it in almost any Asian market okay and you can also get it at local grocery some Lo some local grocery stores carry it so you just put it in a uh a pattern sort of like a flower mhm and I see you have one one on the bottom here to sort of cover up all so everything is is covered so this is just the chicken that this and this is the chicken this with the onions all those caramelized onions uh-huh yes and so you put this filling into your flour that’s o w e r not oh you [Music] are once again we need that smell a vision thing George this no it beautiful it is yeah doesn’t it smell good the chunks of chicken are very prominent it’s not oh just a no this this pie has got those ladies in it two whole ladies then you put ground almonds you toast the almonds uh in oil and then I I put a little bit of oil in then I cover them all and put them in the oven to bake love or you can do it on the top how long would you BAC them 10 minutes 5 minutes maybe yeah L than 10 I would say less than 10 I would just I just watch them yeah you don’t walk away because they burn very EAS you don’t because they do burn very easily okay so there there is your pie ready oh I forgot the honey a little honey oh yeah that makes that absolutely beautiful thank you and you fold the pie up all those flower petals in is the butter melted yes it is wow look at that is that uhhuh I forgot to put the eggs in it I forgot to put the eggs in it so you don’t do that okay okay do you put the eggs in with the filling or on top uh you mix it in with the filling okay need that you okay and then you put quite a few of these loompia leaves on the top okay like a top crust like a top crust M it does look like a crust doesn’t it crust on a pie well it actually is it is a crust it’s going to be lovely then I always put a couple of extra ones with a little butter on them with with with just a little butter sure this is not a heart healthy dish okay this is a once a year but it is a Wonder once wonderful once a year I’ll tell you yeah I always make this for uh like Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve yeah then you make this symbol on the top of it which is um called it’s the law three or oh um the Trinity depending on what your religious beliefs are and you put it into a 350° oven for 40 minutes so that’s a pretty moderate oven isn’t it yeah okay open this for you you I’m assuming that this plastic thing does not go in there but look how this came out folks look at that you think that would impress the the neighbors I’ll tell you oh look at that okay you know it’s it’s ready to go and there’s another way to make this recipe if I’m having a cocktail party or a party um for people where were they’re just nibbling I make this the exact same thing and I make it into orves like this oh very nice perect and we have some in the other oven that are like that that you all can taste okay then we won’t have to cut into that pie right this minute is so pretty that makes a pretty good impression when you put that on the table doesn’t it yeah yeah people like it well it’s it’s it is so beautiful you know the the appearance and and the presentation of food is so important on how people enjoy it it just oh my look at these look at these beautiful little Parcels yeah so you can you can make them as Beggars purses or you can make them so they look like egg rolls and this seems to be the way people like them the best when I put them on a table and that’s the easiest and it’s actually the easiest I sprinkle them with powdered sugar with a little bit of cinnamon in it so we can just there we go go ahead and try them I think this is finger food George I think so too yeah it’s definitely is oh got it yum very hot my gosh that’s good they are good aren’t they they’re wonderful good old you out on yourself this is kind of that kind of disappears doesn’t it when you put it out on a plate quickly this is wonderful people first think they’re going to be Savory and then they find out they’re sweet exactly exactly there’s a wonderful taste to this give us a call please ly Jerry’s got us Moroccan chicken pie know you haven’t had it before but it’s going you’re going to be really glad when you do 1 80044 31999 Cherry thank you thank you these are most excellent [Music]
