Chipotle – good heat level. Maybe a notch above regular cholula. Flavor is exactly what you'd expect but goose.
Chili lime – lower heat than the regular and a great tangy flavor.
Tequila & lime – the worst out of the bunch to me. It has a very acidic flavor that I cannot handle. Seemed to have no heat at all.
May be great as a marinade for chicken or pork.
Sweet habanero – great heat level, absolute best flavor out of them all for me. Sweet with that habanero heat to follow but not too strong.
Chili garlic – second most favorite and was my favorite before the sweet habanero entered the game. I could probably drink this flavor.
Great heat level. Mild heat. Maybe on the same level as regular.
Green pepper – third best flavor. Mild heat, great earthy peppery flavor.
Xxx – I don't think the xxx is pictured but man it's great.
More pronounced flavor than the original. Heat is just a notch above original too but the heat comes through more than the flavor. Definite pick up if you see it on shelves.

I didn’t care for the extra hot one, has less flavor then the original
Green pepper is definitely my favorite. I agree that Chili Lime is ass though
I have been buying an Extra Hot every time I’m at the grocery store, just so I’m overstocked when they eventually yank it. I love Cholula for rice and several forms of chicken, and my one wish for many years was that it was just hotter. They finally heard my telepathic pleading.
But I know that, because of the overall weak constitution and poor culinary tastes of the general population, this glorious era of Extra Hot Cholula will be short-lived. My goal is to have as much surplus as I can when that day comes.
Goose?
Ive been consistently disappointed by hot sauce multi packs and gift packs. The only one I kind of liked was the tabasco one (even though Im not the biggest Tabasco fan) and the yucateco one.
I’m glad you didn’t post the XXX bottle. This is a family friendly sub after all..
Great summary. I am a big fan of the original but need ti try the other ones.
Not hot but delicious for sure. I haven’t had a couple of those but I could drink the Garlic one straight from the bottle.
Man I have got to try your top two. I love green pepper and the original.
Sweet Habanero absolutely slaps. To this day it’s one of my favorite sauces.
Great breakdown! I’ve only tried the original and the green one. Now I must try all the ones you described!
I’m not a hot sauce girl usually. I’m Asian and our food usually is spiced accordingly to the dish in question. So I’ve never been into mainstream hot sauces
But cholula green pepper is really tasty. I like regular cholula too, better than Tabasco taste wise. The chipotle version is so so. Wouldn’t buy it again. Not tried the others
I buy the extra hot. I’ve had tons of sauces Melinda’s is good too, but I always come back to Cholula.
