Great smoker for the price. The metal is a little thin compared to the 1/4” thick models but should be perfect in moderate weather

I have one and like it. I haven’t used it as much as I did 8-9 years ago when I got it but it’s holding up great.

They’re solid. They’ll last you for several years. They’ll give you decent quality bbq right away and great quality bbq after you get it totally figured out and add a few little features and accessories. Water pan, deflector, taller stack, etc.

  4. I’d save up for the Brazos instead. 1/4” will give better performance.

  5. I have the Brazos, same thing (basically) with 1/4” steel. Very happy with the build and construction of mine of that helps, held up for 4 years no issues. Academy also sells those but only online. $999, or at least used to be. Buc-ee’s also sells them.

That one looks so shiny a part of me thought it was AI generated. Haha.

I’ve had the Wrangler for about 8 months and love it.

I can’t believe that price. I would have jumped on it

$500 is what it cost 5 years ago.

If Brazos isn’t available, get it. It’s the best $500 smoker there is

If you’re just getting into stick smoking, for the price, it can’t be beat. I bought one when I wasn’t sure if I’d enjoy BBQ with the idea that if I did, I’d graduate to a Yoder and either throw the Pecos up on FB Marketplace or give it to a friend. But I’ve had mine for five years now, use it at least once a month, and haven’t given a second thought to getting rid of it. I suppose if I fell into some extra cash, maybe I’d get the Yoder of my dreams. But until then, I’m super happy with mine.

Thats pretty thin walls imo but it reflects the price so it’s up to you.

Does this come on a pallet/box or how do you get it home? Can I just go buy one at academy with my truck or do I need to rent a trailer that I can roll it up on??

Oooof. Those uninsulated rolled steel pices of crap. Yea save up for something better

I would also save for brazos.Ive had mine over 10 years or so.I like that the stack is decent size .Thick steel gonna last a long time and hold heat better.

I know diddly squat about offsets but I’ve looked at several different ones at the store. Those felt a lot more well built than others I’ve looked at for that price point

I bought my Pecos about 5 years ago. It has served me well. Excellent smoker. People say the Brazos is better & has more stable temperature, which is important if you can afford it. Not essential if you can’t.

**ALSO, the wheels are wobbly AF.** You should put it to one place and leave it, if possible.

Looks like an Oklahoma Joe’s smoker.
