Ordering a takeout Thanksgiving meal has become a popular way to enjoy a stress-free holiday, and these days you have lots of options.

You can order just the turkey, a few sides or even the whole feast. Most meals will be provided cold, with pickup on Wednesday and instructions for reheating. A few may be picked up hot and ready to eat on Thanksgiving. In most cases, quantities are limited, so you’re advised to order well in advance.

Here’s a selection of Thanksgiving options available from Rochester-area restaurants and caterers.

Avvino, 2541 Monroe Ave. in Brighton, will offer a Thanksgiving dinner for 4 to 6 for $235. It will include a 10- to 12-pound whole organic turkey and traditional sides, as well as rigatoni with Sunday sauce, an autumn salad and caramelized Brussels sprouts. The Cove Restaurant and Bar, 205 Lakeshore Dr. in Canandaigua, is offering a Thanksgiving family meal for 4 to 6 people for $205. Order by Nov. 20 and pick up on Thanksgiving (it will be cold and have reheating instructions). Call 585-577-8912.

Dinosaur Bar-B-Que, 99 Court St., will prepare a turkey dinner for 8 to 12 for $260. It includes turkey, gravy, cornbread stuffing, whipped sweet potatoes and choice of two pies. Fazool’s Italian Bistro, 120 Pixley Road in Gates, is offering meals for 10-15 people ($275) or 20-25 people ($525). It will include carved turkey breast, traditional sides and penne with red sauce. Order by Nov. 19, pick up Nov. 26. Call 585-287-6965.

Giuseppe’s, 50 Spencerport Road in Gates, will prepare a family-style Thanksgiving buffet ($300) that feeds 15 to 20. It will include turkey, garlic parmesan mashed potatoes, gravy, Italian green beans, sausage and apple stuffing, cranberry relish, a tossed salad, baked ziti and dinner rolls with butter. Monroe’s, an Italian-American restaurant at 3001 Monroe Ave. in Pittsford, is offering family-style meals that will be picked up, ready to serve, at a scheduled time on Thanksgiving. Dinner for 6 is $336 or dinner for 12 is $620. They include a choice of protein, vegetables, salad and pie as well as traditional sides and penne vodka. The Normal, a barbecue restaurant at 1887 Rochester St. in Lima, is offering a Thanksgiving meal for 4 to 6 people for $130. It will include sliced smoked turkey breast, lingonberry compote, garlic mashed potatoes, onion gravy, sage and sausage stuffing and roasted carrots with miso glaze. Olympia Family Restaurant & Lounge in Gates, in Howard Commons Plaza at 2380 Lyell Ave., will be open noon to 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving. It is offering a takeout turkey dinner with all the fixings, including homemade soup and pumpkin pie, for $25.99 or $14.99 for kids under 10. The Owl House, 75 Marshall St. in Rochester, is offering vegetarian and vegan dishes for takeout. Partyman Catering, 1515 West Henrietta Road in Avon, is offering a Thanksgiving package for 12 people for $385. Public Provisions will center its Thanksgiving meals on deboned fresh turkeys from Fisher Hill Farms. A traditional dinner that easily feeds 12, $349, includes a whole turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, roasted veggies, cranberry sauce, gravy and a pack of dinner rolls. The Red Fern is offering individual vegan, gluten-friendly and allergy-friendly meals, as well as family-style mains, sides and desserts. Uncle Buck’s Kitchen & Co. is offering apple-brined roasted turkey with gravy, green bean casserole, candied yams, mashed potatoes, cornbread sausage stuffing, cranberry sauce, potato rolls and a fall salad.
