Had my first meal at 20 Victoria last night. Every dish was excellent and deserving of their Michelin star designation. Quality ingredients executed at a high level. Needs more creativity to get that second star though. Perhaps that's the chef's ethos as you can see the simplicity reflected in the space. Service was as expected for a fine dining establishment, no complaints on that front. A couple dishes could have used a little more restraint with the salt. The only dish I felt could have been better was the crab. The slices of kohlrabi and apple got in the way of the crab meat texturally . Perhaps if they had diced the two rather than the large slices. Still very delicious. I still rank Pearl Morissette higher and leagues above Alo. I don't get the love for Alo at all. I can't remember a single dish I had there (6 years ago).
