I put together a small chart of some common Korean foods with their names written in Korean + English!
If you’re learning Korean or just curious about what things are called here, this might help 😊
There are so many delicious dishes that didn’t fit in one image —
tteokbokki, samgyeopsal, bibimbap, kimchi, sikhye, steamed eggs, etc.
Korean food names can be surprisingly easy to remember once you see them written!
What’s your favorite Korean dish that isn’t on this list?
Or what would you recommend someone try for the first time?

I love discovering new dishes people enjoy 🍜🇰🇷

my favorite food 😄
I would say it’s pork belly slices rather than bacon since bacon is generally cured/smoked
Are those blood sausages at the bottom right? Restaurant I frequent has them made in house and I’m curious – but maybe a bit apprehensive for a work lunch. How are they?
Why did you choose to use English translated names for some and just pronunciation for others?
There really should be a massive multi image for Korea’s most important foods: 국, 탕, 찌개, 전골 and 찜/조림.
