this is peanut butter fruit [Music] this is blackberry jam fruit and this is bread fruit ladies gentlemen boys girls everybody please we are going to do something epic we are going going to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich using only [Music] fruit peanut butter fruit is known as a fruit that tastes like peanut butter little refresher of what this is like so it’s got like a little heart shape to it and I’m going to just tear that open you see it’s got a very soft Flesh on the inside one large seed I’m going to take just a little clump of this mhm it does taste like peanut butter that wouldn’t especially taste like peanut butter it’s not like exact but it has a peanutty flavor and a nuttiness to it yeah it’s like a berry peanut butter y like pean it’s a little bit like peanut butter and jelly just like on its own but that peanut taste is there which is kind of incredible it’s kind of incredible all those people out there who can’t eat peanuts this might give you a little bit of your fix little [Music] bit blackberry jam fruit check this out so this is my favorite thing this has got a nice yellow color to it very bright but then when you break it open yeah check that out this like extremely dark black jelly like fruit in there this one I actually actually really like not exactly like blackberries but there is something Berry about it the texture though very much like jam is soft pul but the flavor is a little more complex I say it’s got like a touch of like um a raisin taste that’s what I was about to say raisin it tastes like raisins and if you made jam out of raisins um but this is in the rasia family which actually means it’s related to Coffee oh [Music] bread fruit people use it as a staple food they use it as a stodge tastes a little bre little bre we bought this from an organic market here uh where we are in New calonia by the way we’re in new calonia right now which is pretty cool very hard to reach part of the world fruit here is very expensive it was priced at um about $18 for one but they gave us 30% off because this one is soft and this smells good it’s got a little tropical smell make a little like pineapple or something perfect just watch your fingers there oh beautiful oh that looks nice very soft very soft um so this might actually be edible just like this because it is softened is very sticky in there it’s like cutting into a like a firm pudding cool nice all right so let’s try it raw some years ago you and I reviewed a ripe bread fruit on this channel and a lot of people sent us some some hate in in the comments because the bread fruit that we had was actually not properly ripened the one we found was like AB boarded from a tree so it tastes it tasted okay it tasted like mashed potatoes but I guess they’re not supposed to taste like mashed potatoes and this might actually be what it is supposed to taste like what I’m thinking um is that we will try this raw and if it tastes good like this we’re going to make a raw peanut butter and jelly sandwich for all the FR ter raw peanut butter and jelly sandwich that’s that’s that’s crazy I think that’s the goal however if not we’re going to bake it and then we’ll make it edible but let’s Let’s uh let’s give it a try it’s good yeah pretty that’s that’s all right yeah it’s different very different it’s um it’s still starchy but very sweet kind of like tastes like bananas mm bananas like plantain plantain sweet potato that’s pretty good it is a little stury yeah maybe we could cook one of them and make a raw and then I let’s do it both ways man guys my hands are very clean don’t [Music] worry to take some of this pulp spread it out with my hands I use like a knife or something we don’t have a ton of these so this is going to be the way to get the the most coverage here Peanut Butter Jelly Time peanut butter jelly time oh man everyone just clicked out of the video yeah I’m sorry guys and shout out to Vincent and Audrey over at Thousand Fruit Farm here in New calonia cuz they gave us the peanut butter fruit and the blackberry jam fruit all right next up blackberry jam I feel like I’m cracking a very odd egg onto this this and put the other Slice on [Music] top peanut butter and jelly sandwich fruit style this is so so weird this is such a weird thing to do back up a little bit yeah put it a little closer all the way up there great big smile we Thum nail nice that’s crazy all right we have a peanut butter fruit blackberry jam fruit and bread fruit sandwich rare fruit raw vegan fruitarian fruitarian yeah no no salt it’s I tell you one thing it’s probably not going to taste like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich I’m very curious what this tastes like this is probably doesn’t smell like one doesn’t smell anything like smells funky smells a little funky but got to do it cheers man cheers all right actually tastes a lot more like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich than I thought does taste yeah that’s a lot like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich it’s like if it was soft and Soggy it’s like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich that got put out in the brain mhm bread is soggy but I wouldn’t say this tastes like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich but it has all of the elements yeah in there it’s got a little bit of a bready taste mhm it’s got a little bit of a like a berry sort of taste and it’s got a little bit of a Nutty taste little peanut butter taste I think this is as good as the success as you can get yeah that’s actually pretty pretty good I like it I I feel like if I ate this whole thing I would be like having a a very intimate moment with a toilet later am I going to regret this later this is like an abomination of God should we should not be doing this is our flight day so this is our flight day we’ve got whole thing three fruits that are none of these are like from the same area right so P butter fruit is from northern South America okay um Randy at Formosa the blackberry jam fruit is native to Taiwan and then bread fruit is a Polynesian thing so these are very different parts of the world coming together to make something that is um very North American it tastes like it’s got bananas mixed with a peanut butter jelly and banana sandwich it is yeah it is it tastes like you put added banana to it now we just need to find a uh a fruit that tastes like bacon put that in here and be like the Elvis yeah they feel good actually that is I I I had very low expectations of this a little sticky it’s very sticky it’s like biting into if you’re expecting to bite into like some dense bread you’re not getting that with this so I think we should actually bake [Music] it okay so I do not understand how this oven works this is is uh we’re new calonia everything is like from France so usually I’m confused because of the language on it but in this case it’s actually very helpful because it doesn’t have words or numbers anywhere it has pictures so we’ve got you know uh zero that’s easy enough and then we’ve got this that is uh like a like a bathtub with birds over it this is a chef hat that has been thrown across the room this is a picture of one of the hills from Super Mario 2 that’s um a cookie this is a engine propeller being attacked by space invader iners this is just Space Invaders this is a jet propeller that is going full blast and that is fill in the blank I have no idea how to use this oven so we are not going to bake we are going to fry it I don’t want to risk you know burning this place down or you know getting attacked by a bird don’t want that [Music] that worked pretty well really nice good color to it it looks kind of like a piece of toast and it kind of smells like um like a pancake like that that kind of like a sweet piece of bread all right um again Clean Hands I let it cool down a little bit so I’m not going to like sear myself yeah hopefully this will improve the flavor a bit get rid of some of that starch and maybe firm it up a little bit too doesn’t seem nearly as soft now that it’s been cooked oh yeah they explode yeah okay that might be good okay put the top layer on hold it down for you see this will be my side Your Side Y that actually looks like a sandwich that is crazy that looks like a panut that’s a sandwich yep well you tell you one thing cooking it has improved the texture of this it’s not gooey anymore it actually has like the density of well more than a piece of bread it’s not like fluffy or anything but it it holds together it looks like a sandwich smells like a sandwich kind of it’s got a little potatoey kind of smell to it too but like pancakes but yeah all right man Cheers Cheers so excited yeah it’s good good like better like this I like most this is really good yeah it’s nice to have it like warm you know and the text the what I like about this is the texture you bite into it and there is like a little bit of fight to it it’s not just like goo like when it was raw when it was raw it had more um a fru flavor this doesn’t really have that banana flavor nearly as much yeah no it’s it t it still tastes kind of like a plantain but like a green plantain instead of a yellow plantain so more towards a potato before when it was raw it tasted a little more like the you taste the Blackberry and the peanut butter a little bit more and here the the bread fruit doesn’t taste as sweet but it does it’s a little bit stronger in flavor yeah we’re going to cheat a little bit CU maybe if we put more pulp in a bite scrape that down yeah there you go not more though yeah that tastes a little bit like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich yeah crazy not entirely but a little bit if I was explain it it tastes like a peanut it tastes like more like like peanut butter and jelly pancakes it does yeah yeah really tast like pancakes which considering that we are not using peanut butter we’re not using jelly and we’re not using bread no I say that’s pretty damn close it’s as close as you’re going to get so everybody I hope you enjoyed uh Stephen and I just totally creating this this Abomination that was delicious a delicious Abomination it it shouldn’t be I suppose but it I GL yeah that’s delicious this is a really rare thing got let that and I set in this is song real hard to do uh all three of these things are difficult to get in the US yeah and uh here in New calonia yeah we got
