I work at a steakhouse and my table from the other night drank these bottles. The biggest shock was that all of these corks were pristine. The wines all still full of life

Genuine question- how did they tip? % or $? On one hand I know you should tip 15-20%, but on even one bottle of that calibre that would be insane- especially considering it’s the same action as a $20 bottle. The answer is probably somewhere in the middle. Generally curious on your experience with this sort of thing. I see both sides

I have a few bottles left of the ’88, and I agree with what you witnessed- very much full of life! Probably won’t be that way for too much longer, but truly a special wine.
