People seem sad when I tell them I made my own birthday cake. Having a weekend to bake and have the kitchen to myself is the best part!! The decorations are based off a design I found on ticktock.
Components are:
King Arthur olive oil chiffon (this is the absolute best)
Swiss meringue buttercream
Raspberry curd made out of the yolks left over from the butter cream.
Metric ton on blueberries and blackberries.

I made my own carrot cake birthday cake. It was a very old recipe my mother used to use. A nice and heavy cake with butter cream icing. I was very happy and it was delicious! I understand completely, and Happy Birthday!
