Hey guys,
I picked up a sous vide magic 1500d for $10 and this is my second go at using it, previously I made char siu pork fillet and it turned out yum yums.
I wanted a quick easy dinner so I thought I'd try this scotch fillet at 56° for an hour or 2… Anyone else chuck their packets of steak in straight from the supermarket?
I've been on the lookout for a commercial size rice cooker to use with it but this electric pan seems to work alright, I might have to use the auto-tune as it seems to take ages to ramp up the last couple of degrees.
Anyone else used the same machine?

Thank you for your picture post to r/sousvide. We want to remind everyone of Rule #5. Posts should be accompanied by something to foster discussion. A comment, a question, etc is encouraged.
If you’ve posted a picture of something you’ve prepared, please explain why in a comment so people can have some sort of conversation. Simply dropping a picture of food in the sub isn’t really fostering any discussion which is what we’re all aiming for.
Posts that are a picture with no discussion can and will be removed by the mods.
Thank you!!

TIL 2 hours is a quick dinner
A lot of supermarket packaging isn’t really designed for that kinda thing, I’d probably bag it into something else first..
Done a couple of the ribeyes Woolies are selling now in the SV, and they’ve come up ace.
