Pesto Gnocchi — Version 1.0

Started this one with spicy Italian sausage — peeled off the casing and broke it down to pieces about the same size as the gnocchi, just to keep the bite consistent.

Sautéed up some maitake mushrooms to bring in an earthy depth, then built a quick sauce by mixing pesto with a little heavy cream. Tossed everything together — gnocchi, sausage, maitake — and let it all soak up the sauce.

Finished with some parmesan on top.

Good first run. Rich, savory, plenty of texture — but a lot of room to dial things in. Might crisp the gnocchi next time or swap the cream for something lighter.
