A bit of a trial making this one, but I’m happy with how it turned out. I added some rum I had left over from soaking raisins to my ice cream base and immediately regretted it because I had made it as normal, and adding a spirit to a base requires adjusting the sugar (no dextrose). This ice cream did not want to churn into something beyond thick soup as a result, but I rolled with it and layered it and froze overnight. Despite the mistakes I loved the flavor combo, so I’d call it a success overall.
