Cava sets opening date, Community Day to benefit Golden Harvest

EVANS, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Growing fast-casual Mediterranean food chain Cava has officially set an opening day for the Evans location.

The team is set to open the restaurant, 560 Mullins Colony Drive, on Nov. 26.

To mark its arrival, Cava will hold a Community Day event on Nov. 25, offering guests a complimentary meal and collecting donations to support Golden Harvest Food Bank.

A spokesperson says the company will match donations up to $1,000.

An Eventbrite sign-up page for the Evans Community Day is expected, but isn’t live yet.

Cava encourages those interested to check CAVA.com for updates and download the Cava app to join the chain’s loyalty program.

The plans should be good news for fans of Zoës Kitchen, which used to have a location on Washington Road in Augusta but has closed. That chain was purchased by CAVA.
