Argentina, 3 gala events at Italian Cuisine Week - News from Embassies

The Consulate General in Bahia Blanca will host three gala events and a large gastronomic and Made in Italy fair “Sapori d’Italia,” in collaboration with the “Tipicità Experience” mission, central events of the 10th Week of Italian Cuisine in the World.


The kermesses are part of the busy calendar of initiatives with which – from November 20 to 26 – Bahía Blanca will become the epicenter of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, a global initiative of the Italian diplomatic and consular network that in 2025 revolves around the theme “Italian cuisine between health, tradition and innovation.” The edition highlights the cultural value of food as an expression of identity, the result of regional diversity and family transmission of recipes and techniques.


In addition to Bahia Blanca, the Nov. 24 event in Buenos Aires, organized with the support of the Italian Embassy and the Consulate General in Buenos Aires, and the one at the “fin del mundo” in Ushuaia on Nov. 26 in collaboration with the honorary consular agency, celebrate the gastronomic excellence of the Marche region through an immersive journey through flavors, territories and traditions of the Italian lifestyle.


The event also emphasizes the dialogue between tradition and modernity, with the adoption of sustainable practices, the use of seasonal products and the recovery of local ingredients, elements that contribute to a food model recognized for balance and nutritional quality. Also central is the support for the candidacy of Italian cuisine for entry on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity List, expected in December.


The “Tipicità in Argentina 2025” mission strengthens the link between Bahía Blanca and the Marche city of Fermo, promoting cultural, tourism and trade collaborations. The Italian delegation brings together institutions, universities, companies and Made in Italy brands in the fashion, agribusiness, crafts and design sectors, an integral part of the growth diplomacy promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
