Like I stated above I received this bottle as a tip today, and wondering the value? It is without a box. I’ve done my research and seen prices of upward to $1700 but I’m sure that’s perfect condition with box and all so just wondering the value of this particular bottle?

See a few bottles available from retailers for 6-700$. Assuming yours was stored properly, and that’s a big unknown, I’d say somewhere slightly below that range.
You have no idea how it’s been stored. Put it on ice New Year’s Eve and go big!
One of the best vintages of Dom Perignon that is in its prime drinking window.
It’s no worth $1700, unless you are not using US currency. It’s going for $600 on Wine-searcher and from a private buyer, you might get 80% of that.
Best bet for selling would be through an auction house. Just depends on where you live. Acker in NYC, [winebid.com](http://winebid.com) in Napa. HDH in Chicago. HDH probably wouldn’t take a single bottle.

Hi! To reach those prices you need to be able to prove the wines «storage provenance», This means that you have to be able to prove that the bottle has been stored at a steady cellar temp with good humidity.
Anyhow its a cool bottle, so you might Get 100-300$ in auction
You are going to have to sell it illegally to an individual. No auction house would take a single bottle with no provenance. If you lived near me, I would happily give you $100 but no more.
The other comments are 100% correct about provenance, but a market does exist for wine without provenance. For a serious collector, a bottle with broken provenance has little value. It’s typically an unacceptable risk of being counterfeit or heat damaged.
But there are like two different markets.
The collector market where trust is everything. Value is based on authenticity and pristine storage.
And the drinker market, I’d put WineBid in this category. This is a more risk tolerant group. When I buy a bottle on a platform that doesn’t show any evidence of provenance, I know it’s a bit of a gamble. You can even be transparent that you don’t know how it was stored and it’s sold as-is. And sometimes people might pay for it for the chance it might be good.
Where are you located? I agree with everyone else, without provenance, you won’t get much for it, certainly not a premium price. But you might find someone like me that’s interested. That’s my wife’s birth year, but as others have pointed out $100-$300 is the likeliest amount you’d get for that. I wouldn’t pay a dime more than that without having more solid info to go on
Throw it on eBay at test the market. If the bids don’t hit your reserve price you can pull it within a certain time frame.
That’s my partner year! I’ll give you £200
If you are in uk!
Friend, your takeaway from all these comments should be as such:
-Almost impossible to sell an individual bottle of wine, no matter how special, ESPECIALLY legally
-Even more difficult is that you don’t know how the wine was stored, and it’s quite old. This drops the value of the wine dramatically in terms of resale, like into the gutter
-this is a nice wine for sure, but not a *rare* wine; folks can get it from sources where they know it’s been stored well- let alone get it legally- pretty easily at auction!-so you don’t have rarity on your side either
-the value it’s listed for at retail has virtually no impact on what you *might* be able to get for it – I would be honestly shocked if you were able to get $100 for this. The things you’re seeing saying $1700 ish? That’s where you know it’s stored well, and sold legally at a reputable retail or auction house. Just not going to happen in a private sale with no proof of proper storage. It’s just not; put it out of your head.
-its a baller aged champagne that you got for free. Put it on ice and have a beautiful evening with a loved one- and tell us what you thought about it. Do not expect the flavors or textures of sparkling wine you’re used to.
Drink it!
If you are in LA I give you $200, that’s my girlfriends bd year.
Drank this bottling in 2018. Top 5 wines of my life. Pairs well with Lay’s potato chips, creme fraiche and caviar.
~$500-750 on the consumer end.
Dude I’ve seen this in two subs. Please for the love of God go and find out more about it, if not sell it for $200 or drink it. You don’t need more advice
I had a similar situation! I was gifted a bottle of 1990 Dom p! I’ve seen them sell for 1k plus in some places, I approached quite a few places to see if they would give me an offer but all of them declined because of the uncertainty of where how the bottle was stored. I figured I most likely will never pay such a high price for a bottle anytime soon so I opened it up and drank it with my family! Needless to say it was very enjoyable! The champagne was perfect! If I were you I would do the same! Enjoy it!
