There might have been a rather wet start to proceedings as Newcastle Christmas Market got going on Saturday, but it didn’t take long at all for people to follow their noses and stomachs and head straight to the wide array of food and drink stalls in attendance this year. And, having gone along on day one, we’ve rounded up all the prices for you.
When it comes to Christmas in Newcastle, it just would not be the same without a few trips to the Christmas Market, which is back and bigger than it’s been for a long time this year, with it occupying Monument, Grey Street, Grainger Street, Old Eldon Square and the new location of Nelson Street. Each of the five zones in Newcastle city centre has some very tempting treats, whether you’re after a carb fix, something to warm the cockles or to indulge your sweet tooth.
The Crumble stall that had people queuing up in their droves last year is back, as is the always popular Yorkshire Pudding wrap stand. There are also a few newcomers for this year, including a stall selling Cheesecake on a Stick, which we reckon is definitely going to be a big hit for 2025.
There’s also a new pop up on Nelson Street called Mallow & Mulled. The options when it comes to food and drink at the Newcastle Christmas Market 2025 are endless. So here is a helpful round up of the prices by area. *Some stalls hadn’t opened/put their prices up at the time of writing.
