  1. Turmeric seems to be one of those spices or flavors that really doesn't pack a lot of punch with it, or am I totally missing something here? Supposedly it's got some health benefits, it turns everything it touches a nice yellow color, but it just doesn't seem to bring a lot of flavor with it.. but if I'm seriously off base, folks, I'm open to having my mind changed, if I'm wrong.
