My grocery store is having a holiday sale. I bought 2 bundles, and I'm not sure what to do with this stuff. Mashed potatoes obviously. What does one do with cranberries?

I love cranberries. I am not sure what other ingredients you have but you could use a slow cooker to make cranberry sauce or cranberry preserves.
I would grab those carrots, garlic, celery, green onion and if you have any nuts or seeds and make a carrot slaw with roasted cranberries and roasted nuts and sliced apple if you have any – or – some cranberry maple glazed carrots. I would suggest searching for a recipe so you know what ingredients you have, but hope those give a few ideas. 🙂

A potato soup with the celery carrot and green onion as a mirepois sounds delicious
If you make a kind of mushroomy based pie, the cranberries can be cooked down with a little orange juice and a pinch of cinnamon (I think sugar as well, I can’t quite remember) to make a kind of thick sauce to go with the pie. The pie basis was onion, carrot, garlic, and mushrooms all sauteed together, then mixed with chestnut puree, thyme, sage, and fresh chopped parsley and seasoned with salt pepper and a splash of soy sauce. I used to make it into a kind of pasty or strudel rather than a pie as it’s quite a rich filling and the pastry kind of balances it. But then! You have those lovely russett potatoes to go with it too! Whatever you make, I’m sure it’ll be fabulous

idk what I’d do with the cranberries as I don’t eat them much. for the rest, I’d make a potato soup, or a tomato soup with some roasted potatoes, OR I’d make tomato soup with a sandwich for one meal, then do a salad and mashed or roasted potatoes for dinner, along with tofu prepared some way or a mock meat
Besides a cranberry sauce, you could put them in muffins/banana bread and here’s a cranberry chutney recipe for anything Indian-inspired: https://masalaandchai.com/cranberry-chutney/. For example, you could make a samosa pot pie with those potatoes.

I’d probably make some kind of pot pie, like this one:

You can leave out the mushrooms if you don’t have them. I’d probably add a can of chickpeas in there too to add a little bulk.
For the cranberries, I’ve made a cranberry conserve the past few years that was really good. I think I might have used this or a similar recipe:

Other than that 3.99 salad kit. This stuff 1.99 at grocery outlet. Potato’s 3.99 at Costco. Carrots are like 1$ a bag
