I stopped by for some dogs today and he told me next week is probably his last.

Visit Eddie’s while you still can. His Full House dog is arguably one of the best in the city, and his lunch special (3 dogs and a drink for $8) is one of the last good deals in town.

He’s on the northeast corner of 33rd and 9th Avenue. Get there before November 7th or you’ll never have the chance again!

Fuck. I was expecting Eddie to work into the golden years and walkers. Def go visit that guy, he makes a great hotdog. He doesn’t rip you off. He’s a hard and honest worker!!!

    End of an era.

Why do I know about these awesome places when they are going away 😔

At least I can catch them once before they go away.

Anyone got any other recommendations for lunch eats around midtown? Between 16th and 42nd would be ideal.

Don’t wanna get flak for this but many things have changed in the city since I was young but the transition from hot dog carts to halal/taco trucks have been, in my opinion, a complete improvement. I feel like the era of street hot dogs is ready to come to a dignified end

EDIT: pretzels should continue on independently or merge with hot nuts. They’re still great
