Which style of Okonomiyaki do you prefer? Hiroshima or Osaka style? 🤔🤔🤔
They just opened a Hiroshima style Okonomiyaki place in Carrollton, TX (first pic), and it’s SO GOOD. I also had it Osaka style (second pic) from a random place in Seattle, can’t remember the name though.

I make Osaka style because it absolutely won my heart.
I prefer Osaka style cuz I grew up eating that, but def look forward to trying Hiroshima style!

I think the best okonomiyaki I ever had was in Hiroshima. Both styles are good but I’m partial to Hiroshima style.

I love the simplicity of Osaka style.
I’m not a fan of the added noodles or proteins. It’s just too much to eat.

my fam is mostly hiroshima style but the kyoto branch goes for betayaki.
me, i like em all. my focus is more on quality of execution. crisp bacon properly, right balance of flavors, don’t drown it in sauce or mayo, etc.

Hiroshima style all the way. Just wish it could be found in Canada, only found it when I was in LA. The odd place here that has it is Osaka style.

The only time I had Okonomiyaki, it was a customized one in Dotonburi. I cannot even remember how I had it made but it wasn’t classic. Was good though.
