Boar’s Head has fallen off a lot from being a premium deli brand. I’ve been out on them since the horrible plant conditions/health code violations uncovered during investigations into their 2024 listeria outbreak that killed 10 people. Conditions were so bad that they permanently closed one plant all together. The high degree of secrecy regarding its operations and leadership encourages sweeping internal issues under the rug until customers start dying.

Very unsafe for you and your family and not sure why you would promote a brand that killed 88 people with contaminated plant conditions. If you’re looking for likes, hired as an influencer or considered visiting the victims who survived, & are on dialysis machines? Otherwise rethink this and take it down.

Does anyone have recommendations for deli meat providers not Boars Head?
The report is disturbing and awful. But … I don’t know the condition of other purveyors. Are they better or just not been caught yet?

Last summer we wanted to support a small business in suburban Chicago, by buying some sandwiches after a tennis game. We went inside the deli and inside there was boars head advertising was all over the place. I kid you not I felt like in a horror movie for a second and looked for the closest exit. It was so awkward. Maybe in 50 years of no incidents I’ll try it lol.
