SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – SUX Pride hosted a chili cook-off fundraiser at the Ickey Nickel in Sioux City on Sunday, Nov. 16, to support the SUX Pride 2026 Festival and the Siouxland Soup Kitchen.

The fundraiser featured not only the chili cook-off but also silent auctions and trivia.

Joe McCulley, a SUX Pride member, says he hopes this event can help meet the needs of the community.

“We’d really like to help the soup kitchen really raise some big funds, because we know people, right now more than ever, need help feeding their families and things of that nature,” McCulley said. “So, it’s really a good kick off and we’d like to keep doing this every year.”

Throughout the event, Participants could also cheer on their favorite team during the afternoon football game and enjoy cinnamon rolls.
