Have you ever tried this Middle Eastern dish called Qatayef (also spelled Katayaf and Katayif).

It’s a pancakes that you stuff and fold. The recipe is slightly different than your traditional pancake recipe. You only cook them on one side, but the other side is perfectly done and cooked. Stuff them with your favorite foods, sweet or salty. It was breakfast time so I stuffed them with some of my favorite breakfast items. 🤗 I stuffed with Hashbrowns, Vegan Beyond Sausage, Just Egg, Follow Your Heart Vegan Mozzarella Cheese.

RECIPE:
2¼ cups of All Purpose Flour
2 tbsp Sugar
½ tsp of Baking Powder
¼ tsp Baking Soda
1 tsp Instant Yeast
3 cups of Water

~ Mix all the ingredients in the blender, add the baking soda last and blend.

~ There is no need to rest the batter.

~ Preheat a Non Stick Pan to medium temperature and start pouring the batter one after the other.
(Do Not add any oil to the pan.) ✨Only cook pancakes on ONE SIDE.

~ You can eat as is, Fry them, or put them in the oven on 375 degrees for 15 minutes or so, until they are crispier.

* Stuff with your favorite food items. DO NOT OVER STUFF.

Hey everybody. Have you ever heard of Kataya? It’s a Middle Eastern pancake that you fold and you stuff with your favorite foods, sweet and salty. Well, as you see, I’m making breakfast. So, I’m stuffing them with my favorite breakfast items. Now, the recipe is just a little different than your pancake mix. Just tweak it just a little, but you cook it on one side and it’s completely done on the other side. Trust me, at this point, you can fry them or bake them or eat as is. Enjoy.
