
Hi all! So I’ve been dying to make samgyetang since I saw Cornish hens on sale but unfortunately, my stove is out of commission. My mom had the great idea trying to cook this via crockpot! It turned out pretty tasty. I feel like the rice was cooked more evenly and the herb-y/medicinal taste is more prominent.
If anyone wants to try, I did put the Cornish hens bottom down after ensuring the openings were secure. I filled the crockpot with water so that water covered ~3/4 of the chicken breast. Cooked it on high for ~3 hours, low for 3 hours, and then high again for 1 hour, mainly because I started this late in the morning. I definitely will be trying this again! I was glad to just throw it all in and let it be.
