Flond queso. Flond queso. That’s right. It’s Fla’s cheesier cousin. And it’s super easy. Start off by adding one cup of sugar into a saucepan. And just caramelize that sugar by turning your heat to about a medium high and mixing it up until it turns that golden amber color. And this is how it looks once all that sugar is melted. Now get you a 98 in pan and pour your mixture into your pan. And then carefully tilt it around to get that caramel all the way around. Now, put that aside and make the fla filling. The filling, it’s super easy. It’s four whole large eggs, one can of sweetened condensed milk, one can of evaporated milk, an 8 oz block of softened cream cheese, and about a tablespoon of vanilla. and blend it up until it’s smooth and creamy. Now that’s blended and smooth and that’s cold and hardened. Go ahead and pour your mixture over your caramel. Now cover it with some foil. Now bake it for 1 hour at 350°. And when it’s finished baking, just let it cool completely. Then stick it in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours. But I’m just going to stick it in there overnight. And it’s been at least 8 hours in the refrigerator. So after it’s set up and chilled, you want to run a knife around the edges of your fla and put a plate on top of it and flip it over. Give it a little tap or two. And look how golden and beautiful that Flond queso is. Y’all, I’m so excited to try this. I’m going to go ahead and cut a piece right now. M. It’s like cheesecake and fla but better. And just like they go.
