[Music] There was just a lot of pressure on males. They would take them for the military and I moved to Lebanon in 2012, just a year after the the war started. You go to an employer, they would say, “We can’t hire you cuz you’re Syrian.” Syrians were not allowed to open bank accounts. Then I received a a call from the Canadian embassy saying that you’re traveling to Canada in 2 weeks. I remember I was shocked and I’m still I’m still shocked with that a bit.
