I’ve never had a chicken pot pie that wasn’t bland. So, here’s how you make a pot pie that’s actually loaded with flavor. Start by searing some chicken breast in a hot pan with some salt and pepper until it’s got a golden crust on both sides. Then, pour in some water and let it steam for a couple minutes. In that same pan, saute some onions, carrots, potatoes, garlic, and a little bit of flour. Then, season it up with some thyme, rosemary, a little bit of curry powder, black pepper, and salt. Pour in chicken broth, and heavy cream. Then, add in the cooked shredded chicken, some frozen peas, and let this all simmer together for about 10 minutes. Roll out your puff pastry so it fits your baking dish. Then par bake it for about 10 minutes so the crust doesn’t get soggy. Add in the pot pie filling. Layer with the other piece of puff pastry and make a couple slits in the top so that the pie can breathe. Then brush it with an egg wash. Bake until it’s golden and it’s ready to enjoy.

  1. I've always used leftover chicken gravy homemade of course in my chicken pot pie and it's always great

  2. What are you talking about? This isn’t puff pastry you’re using. This is just regular pie dough You twit

  3. I never had chicken pot pie until my ex made me try his favorite: Marie Calenders 😅 I told him he’s never eating that again and made him a chicken pot pie 🥧 from scratch. It was amazing and he never ate frozen pies again.. well we broke up so idk what he eats now 🤷‍♀️ hope he has a woman to make them from scratch ❤ can’t lie, I don’t do the dough from scratch anymore, it’s so good but such a pain to make 😂
