Tried spam for the first time today. 3 eggs, spam, and cheese on a huge deli roll.
corner deli uses these huge rolls, it's too cold to walk the three blocks to get the better bread. i didn't know if i should go thick and leave it soft or slice thin and crispy. i went thin and crispy.

I like how thinly you sliced the spam

Too cold to walk 3 blocks for good bread? How big are your blocks or how bad is your good bread?

Good, but try it with pork roll and you will be even more impressed.

Spam is fantastic. I get the low sodium one so it’s a little bit less salty tasting. Fry that up and throw that on some white bread. Mmmm.

Yum!! That looks amazing. I made some sort of spam hash concoction recently and now I’m obsessed with spam! It’s so good??!

mmm yes. a 10/10 experience to be sure. I prefer 1cm slices but i fry them with a tiny bit of oil in the pan so they crisp up on the outside pretty darn well but still have that steamy porky interior. It’s an alternate prep and I recommend both!

Ive never had spam, whats is like compared to bacon

Love it. Next time, go for a thicker slice (I love both ways) and brush it while cooking with a mustard/pure maple syrup mix. Gets it a crispy umami crust with a touch of sweet.
