Mount Vernon Mediterranean restaurant Cafe Fili is opening a location at the Anthem House apartment building at 900 E. Fort Ave. in Locust Point/Riverside. Cafe Fili will fill a 2,000 sq. ft. restaurant space that was the former home of Amber, which closed in January.
Cafe Fili was opened by Ziad Maalouf in 2017. It opened a Washington, D.C. location in 2018.

We’re thrilled to share that our next chapter begins in Riverside, inside the beautiful @anthemhouseapts community at 900 E. Fort Ave, opening Spring 2026. This expansion marks an exciting evolution of our Mediterranean-inspired vision; where modern design, fresh ingredients, and a welcoming atmosphere come together from sunrise through our new evening mezze program.From our roots in Mount Vernon to D.C. and now Riverside, we’re beyond grateful for the continued love and support from our guests and the Baltimore community.
Cafe Fili will offer daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Anthem House along with bar service and a coffee bar.


The breakfast menu features an egg and cheese panini; avacado za’taar toast; Greek-, Armenian-, and Italian-inspired egg dishes; smoked salmon; French toast; and more. The menu offers starters such as soups, hummus, and dips. And, the large plates include Levant bowls, kebabs, paninis, wraps, and salads with toppings such as falafel, tandoor chicken shawarma, spiced lamb shawarma, short rib, and beef and lamb gyro.
The salad menu offers a Tunisian mix, fatoosh, Greek salad, Ceasar salad, and a Mediterranean salad with lamb.
Cafe Fili joins restaurants Limoncello, Limonello Pizzeria, and Don Tigre Mexican Cusine Bar at Anthem House.
