A new restaurant brand called Hummus Republic is moving into the Commonwealth of Virginia – and it has our area squarely in its sites with at least two sites reportedly in the works.

The first Hummus Republic officially announced in Virginia (that we know of) is coming to the Herndon Centre off Elden Street in Herndon.

It’s going into a 1,400 s.f. space right next door to the new Chicken Salad Chick restaurant that opens on Tuesday, November 18. (See our coverage of Chicken Salad Chick here.)

According to the brand’s website, a second Hummus Republic is planned for the South Riding Town Center in Loudoun County where it says its moving into the space that is currently occupied by the Pollo X Peruvian chicken restaurant.

Hummus Republic offers Mediterranean-inspired cuisine. Think bowls made with rice, couscous, or garbanzo beans and topped with hummus, meats, falafel, and other dishes.

It also offers wraps, pita sandwiches, sides and more. You can learn more about the Hummus Republic menu here.
