Started the year with a pod machine.
Anyway spent most my cash on the SBE and love it.
Bought a single dose hopper, stainless steel steam water arm, wdt, dual distribution and tamper, coffee bean scales and bean cup with spray and a puck screen. Knock box, Oh and air tight coffee bean cannister
Thinks I should think about maybe?
New milk jug? Bottomless porter filter? Better WDT or knock box?
Humble but I'm happy.

separate grinder. Makes night and day difference.
When you sign up for night school to learn Italian so you can operate your espresso machine.
The dual boiler model is in your future.
The most overrated of all of those is the coffee comb aka WMD or whatever it’s called…
What’s that handle on your steam/water control pls?
You could do a dimmer mod on the machine.
Using a dimmer (like with lightbulbs) you can adjust the output pressure of the pump and this way do manual pressure profiling.
Better grinder is a classic. DF54 is supposed to be good.
Make sure to have good water. It’s a rabbit hole of its own.
Good baskets are supposedly having a huge impact as well. Bottomless portafilter lets you see chanelling.

I have the same machine (also in black) and I love it. Heard people saying the grinder isn’t up to much but I think it’s great. It’s consistent and grinds just as fine as you’ll ever need.

Save every single penny for your next machine. Highly possible that your next machine might use 58mm so most of your accessories won’t be compatible.Â
That’s exactly what I did.Â
When I got my Breville barista express impress, I had $1 needle WDT, dosing funnel, shaker ($10) and save money. I thought about getting more accessories such as bottomless portafilter etc… but I didn’t want to spend for 54mm. Now I upgraded to HX machine a month ago and I don’t regret the decision since I bought most of new accessories. Shaker is only one I still use.Â

Do yourself a favor.
Try making coffee without one at a time. If there’s no change in quanlity, then why do you have that item.
If you want to build a dam, build a dam. If you want to employ people, give them spoons and let them toil endlessly.
Until you obtain your dream machine….then realize you need your dream grinder, +1.
