Holy crap was this incredible. Technically not a burger but slabs of teriyaki beef on a bun. That teriyaki sauce is off the hook amazing, best teriyaki sauce I've eaten in recent memory, and that includes a trip to Japan i took last year!

Pit Burger is an OG spot in Gardena. The South Bay is a foodie hot spot with countless phenomenal places to eat.

I work nearby and this place is SO DAMN GOOD. Squarely in the category of “ugly delicious”, nearly impossible to photograph in an appealing way but holy shit is it tasty

Pitburger is delicious. I always get the teriyaki plates, but everyone’s been talking up the burger.
Seems like a good enough excuse to get that for lunch.
The teri burger at Pitburger is truly one of a kind. I haven’t been able to find anything similar, even at “better” teriyaki spots. Check out the chili cheese fries too — one of the few places I’ve tried that is able to maintain crispy fries under the chili.

Across the street from the OG Diana’s, around the block from Giulianos and not too far from YOWAY off Vermont. All timers all within a mile or so of one another. Gardena’s a sleeper for this sort of thing.
I grew up in that neighborhood, and we used to hang out on our bikes there. The teriyaki sauce has been the same since the beginning of time, and the griddle is seasoned to perfection. The LARGE teriyaki combo plate with the piece of grilled bun is the way to go, and shoutout to the cooks with the paper hats!
