Golden BBQ Wings
🌱I don’t know if it’s the BBQ making the cauliflower shine, or the cauliflower making the BBQ taste like magic 🔥Either way, these are on point!👌🏾
Ingredients:
1 head of cauliflower, cut into florets
1 ½ cups HV Almond Breadcrumbs
1 cup plant-milk mixed with 2 tsp ground flax
½ cup arrowroot powder
¼ cup oat flour
Golden BBQ Sauce
1/4 cup tomato paste
1/2 cup yellow mustard
1/3 cup date syrup
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
3 tbsp coconut aminos
2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp date-sweetened sriracha
1 tsp smoked paprika
Pinch or more of cayenne
Instructions:
Prepare the sauce by adding all the ingredients to a saucepan and simmering for 10 minutes.
Combine arrowroot and oat flour in a bowl.
Combine flax and plant milk. Let sit for 5 minutes.
One at a time, dip cauliflower pieces into the liquid, then flour mixture, back into the liquid, then bread crumbs. Continue until all pieces are nicely coated.
Add breaded cauliflower pieces to a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Bake at 350 F for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown, flip and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and brush with golden BBQ sauce. Return to the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes.
Remove from the oven, top with extra sauce if desired.
Another fun, healthy vegan creation. You know, when I first made these, I didn’t think that cauliflower could taste so good, but it does with this recipe. And keep in mind, I’m using no oil and no wheat. And it’s easy to make, too. Once you get your cauliflower battered in the oven, you simply whip up some of my golden barbecue sauce, brush it on, and you’re done. And so are these when I get a hold of them. So save the recipe and make your own. [Music]
