These caramel apple grapes are one of my favorite things in the fall and for Thanksgiving. They’re super easy to make, loved by everyone, and they really do taste like a little caramel apple in every bite. And before you freak out over the name caramel apple grapes, if you can’t see the correlation between these two, I can’t help you. You need green grapes. Make sure that they are rinsed and dried. Take a cocktail toothpick and poke it into your grape, but don’t go all the way through. You need soft caramel candies, about a cup, and you got to unwrap them. You’re going to put those in a small pot over medium low heat along with two tablespoons of heavy cream. The cream helps the caramels melt better so that it’s nice and smooth. Once this is melted and smooth, you want to turn down your heat to the lowest setting just to keep it warm. Using the toothpick, you’re going to dip the grape in the caramel sauce, letting any excess drip off, and then immediately dunk it in crushed peanuts. If you don’t like nuts or you’re concerned about allergies, you can replace the peanuts with cookie crumbs or graham cracker crumbs or coconut flakes or even toffee bits. That way, everybody can enjoy them. Do this for all the grapes that you’re using. Put them on a plate to set and just know that they do dry very quickly. I can’t explain it, but they really do taste like a little caramel
