CINCINNATI (WKRC) – A popular ice cream brand from Ohio recalled a product sold nationwide because it was unintentionally made with an incorrect ingredient.

The Food and Drug Administration announced on Monday that Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams issued a recall for Passion Fruit Dreamsicle Ice Cream Bars with the batch code 25-210.

The product was recalled because it may contain wheat and soy, which were not declared in the ingredient list on the package. The product does not typically include the ingredients, but “a crunch topping from a separate product was inadvertently introduced to this particular batch… during manufacturing.”

The recall emphasized that batch 25-210 was the only batch that was recalled.

Customers who purchased the product were advised to return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
