It was never a matter of if this star was going to make it big in Hollywood. It was only a matter of “say when.” According to The Hollywood Reporter, United Talent Agency has signed literal type of cheese Parmigiano Reggiano to its roster with the goal of finding product-placement opportunities for the brand in film and TV. “Parmigiano Reggiano stands for simplicity, quality and depth,” a representative for the Parmigiano Reggiano Consortium told the outlet, “and we’re excited to explore new formats and platforms to express this story globally.”
The blonde Italian bombshell’s rise to stardom has been in the making for years as she’s been put through the Hollywood grinder. Reggiano got her start in the movie biz as a topping on fancy popcorn, along with early collaborator Truffle, and over the years, she has garnered a huge international fan base that praises her versatility as a standout supporting player in projects like “pasta” and “Caesar salad.” Reggiano already has an impressive lineup of film and TV credits to her name (sometimes under her whitewashed stage name, “Parm”), boasting appearances in projects like Big Night, The Sopranos, Ratatouille, and this year’s Nonnas. The charcuterie cutie is rumored to be dating Stanley Tucci.
Like any Grade A–lister, Reggiano’s career has been sprinkled with controversy. In recent years, she’s been embroiled in an ongoing feud with trendy vegan influencer Nutritional Yeast (although clearly, Reggiano has come out on topping). There are also rumors that she might be an industry eggplant. Reggiano has her share of critics and detractors who find her performance style grating and her attitude in the press salty. Additionally, there are concerns that she has aged out of the industry, despite the fact that she is aging beautifully (she chalks it up to good genes). Next, we will see if voting blocs give her a fair shake during next year’s awards season–ing. Will she crumble under pressure, or can she go all the way?
