… I stopped by Kalustyan’s because they’re known for their hot sauce selection— which is quite good, not the biggest ever but a lot of great choices there— but got sucked into looking at the rest of the store… where I found this 5 Lb bag of habanero powder for $195… they’ve got a room with nothing but dried peppers and pepper powders. That place is just nuts. I wish I could get there more often.
Got myself a couple bottles while I was there— Queen Majesty Jalapeño, Tequila, & Lime and The Spicy Shark Thresher Shark Chipotle.
Anyhow, I thought someone might find this mildly interesting, so, there you go.

Dang I’d love to have a bag of that, but $195 is crazy. Or is it? 5 lbs of raw habaneros where I am would run $15, I know that would only produce a few grams if turned into powder. $195 is steep though

Kalustyan’s is legit. From ghost pepper powder to dried reapers to Mr. Naga, you name it they’ve got it. Best spices in the city.
