Finally bought a house so the wife has finally let me buy a smoker 😂. Is this a good entry level one. From googling issues this seems to just be a bad probe that I can replace. Or should I go a different route?

Thats a very basic pit boss. It will work fine but i wouldnt pay over $125 for it used. Especially if it needs work.

Which model is it? I think thats close to a new price. I don’t think i would pay over 200. But yea part are inexpensive in general and as long as its not rusted out they’re all fixable.

lexington is only $350 new. what version and hell na 200 max. I just got a great working Austin xl for 200 and didn’t think that was a steal.
Personally, I would never buy a used pitboss. People post in here all the time about issues they have and how they’ve had to replaced 2 or 3 different parts in their pitboss (free, but you have to do the repairs yourself so they still cost you time). I’d never own a pitboss without a warranty.
