Planners gave the venture permission last month with the landlord of the empty and derelict unit saying it was no longer viable as a pub.
The restaurant – based on Westward Road and offers pasta, pizza, risotto and more – is open from 12pm to 3pm and 5pm to 11pm from Monday to Saturday.
It also opens from 12pm to 9.30pm on a Sunday.
