This is the omakase box from Bento Point 7 in east midtown it is $66.50 and you get a toro scallion roll, 10 pieces of nigiri, a choice of salmon or tuna sashimi and a choice of a side, I choose shishito peppers. I actually liked this a lot. The sashimi was fine, I loved the grilled peppers and I was scared this was going to be as mediocre and ice cold as joji box but no, this was premium nigiri really large pieces of fish. Really large roll. A gripe would be that you get uni, you get two pieces of toro but at $66.50 there’s a few too many pieces of filler fish. But the salmon and tuna were excellent.
This isn’t cheap and for the same price you could get really good boxes from 35 West or Noz so it’s not great value, but it’s not awful either. Mid tier.
