Sourced from family estates that have been making wine for more than 100 years, the release marks a new chapter in Medly’s mission to bring high-quality, low-intervention wines to US consumers at an accessible price point.
Italian Red’s launch comes just in time for winter gatherings. It offers a fuller body and deeper fruit extraction while maintaining the classic, easy-drinking smoothness Medly is known for. The wine features notes of blueberry, fig, and dark berries, complemented by subtle chocolate tones on the nose and palate. Its velvety tannins, balanced acidity, and round mouthfeel pairs well with smoked meats, rich winter dishes, and seasonal holiday favorites.

The holiday release is also offered in the company’s signature pouch, which carries an 80% lower carbon footprint than traditional glass bottles. Each pouch holds the equivalent of four bottles and keeps wine fresh for up to 45 days after the first pour. This packaging innovation allows Medly to offer premium European wine for as low as $9 per bottle equivalent – varietals that would typically cost $30 or more if packaged in glass.
