Wine is flowing into New York restaurants again, as budgets and buyers return. After a long year of drinking at home, we are very much here for one of our favorite summer things: enjoying a bottle outdoors at our favorite spots.

Which, as things begin to normalize, one of the many dining tropes we’re content not to have return are some of the more finicky cues of wine service. Like, when you’re on a patio, somehow corks don’t need to be presented with a flourish, and bottles don’t need babysitting. So here’s to enjoying a great glass or three outside on a warm evening. That’s what’s guiding the latest Wine Hit List: the beauty of a backyard garden near the Brooklyn waterfront, fizzy wine on a Soho sidewalk, and much more.
