Play Iconchocolate covered strawberries shaped like reindeers

Chocolate-covered strawberries may generally be associated with Valentine’s Day, but, honestly, I’ll look for any reason to make this classic treat, and these festive reindeer berry snacks are no exception. With pretzel antlers, a red M&M for a nose, chocolate chip ears, and candy eyes, these easy-to-make berries just might be the cutest Christmas snack I’ve ever laid eyes—er, candy eyes—on.

The strawberries:
When it comes to strawberries, I found that medium-sized berries make for great reindeer. And don’t forget to thoroughly dry the berries after washing them—melted chocolate and water don’t exactly get along. As for serving, these are best served at room temperature the same day they’re made. If you have leftovers, store them in a paper towel-lined airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.

Get the kids involved:
Serve these reindeer berry snacks as a kid-friendly option at your next holiday gathering, or better yet, make it a fun activity and let the kids pitch in and help. I might even recommend leaving these out for Santa in lieu of Christmas cookies this year. Chances are that’ll land you on the nice-list for life.
