The Italian Food Festival, where people can enjoy Italian cuisine and a variety of delicious beverages, will be held on 30 November at the Italian Embassy compound at No 3, Inya Myaing Road, Shwe Taung Gyar, Bahan, Yangon, according to the Italian Embassy in Yangon.

The Embassy compound will be open to the public to enjoy them during the festival hours from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

As part of the 10th annual World Week of Italian Cuisine, this year’s Italian Food Festival, which is the second time the event is being held in Myanmar, will include Popular Choice Voting for the Non-Professional Italian Gelato Competition (3:00 pm to 4:30 pm).

Another feature is Cooking Demonstration: “Italianità and Myanmar Ingredients: Basic Techniques, Creativity, and Sustainability” (5:00 pm to 6:30 pm): This demonstration will be conducted by the head chef and team from a three-Michelin-star Italian restaurant, recognized twice as the world’s best.

Admission to the festival is free and does not require advance registration. A portion of sales proceeds at the event will be donated to charity, specifically to support organizations caring for children and families affected by HIV.
