A second Johnny Bechamel restaurant is planned for Erie next year, the restaurant’s ownership group said.
DENVER — A Denver company behind several local Italian restaurant concepts is opening a fourth restaurant in Denver’s Speer neighborhood next month.
Mamas & Papas Hospitality plans to open Johnny Bechamel’s, an Italian-American restaurant featuring handmade pasta, what it call “Neo-Neapolitan-style” pizza and cocktails, at 81 S. Pennsylvania St. Another location in Erie is coming in 2026, the restaurant said in a news release.
The Denver location will be Mamas & Papas Hospitality’s first full-service restaurant with a wait staff. The company also owns Dio Mio, a fast-casual pasta restaurant in Five Points that has landed a Michelin recommendation, a wood-fired pizza eatery in North Capitol Hill and Redeemer Pizza in Five Points.
“We’ve always loved the Wash Park neighborhood, and it felt like the right place to introduce our first-ever full-service restaurant,” said Chef Spencer White, a co-owner of Mamas and Papas Hospitality, in a news release. “Whether you’re grabbing a quick pizza or drink at the bar on a weeknight, going on a date night, or bringing the whole family in for a celebration, we want Johnny Bechamel’s to be the kind of place that fits into your life, not just a special occasion spot.”
