Is the a such thing as “too big” of an ear?

Sometimes I feel the ear is almost too pronounced.

    I generally don’t care for an ear at all. I don’t mind a small one, but generally try to make my slashes to avoid having one altogether.

    That said, I won’t tell anyone else that they shouldn’t want an ear on their loaf. My preference is mine.

    I only care because it looks cool that’s about it otherwise I like a small one lol but right now I’m on my aesthetic journey

    If you’re not a fan, you could always change up your cuts.

    Let me tell you something, nobody, and I mean nobody, knows sourdough like I do. I’ve been rising longer, fermenting stronger, and getting crustier than any loaf you’ve ever seen. Some say I’m the most tremendous sourdough in the history of bread, and they’re absolutely right.
