


Ever since I got this wireless thermometer as a gift, I’ve always wanted to get into bbq smoking. Finally have the space to do so and first thing that I wanted was a bbq combo so I can smoke and have a propane grill / burner too.
Oklahoma Joe longhorn popped up on marketplace and I managed to get one for 150 in great condition. Do I regret it because I didn’t know how difficult it would be using an offset smoker ? Possibly but it’s so fun 🤣
So far I have smoked brisket flat, chuck roast, poor man’s burnt ends . Next up oxtail.
ChatGPT has been helpful for quick tips and tricks too. I gotta figure out how to optimally feed wood in because for a 6 pound brisket flat, I used almost 16 dollar worth of wood from this Home Depot wood bundle I got.
